Make Room in Your Kitchen
The holiday season is upon us which means gift wrapping and cookie swapping.?Carve out some time before the madness hits to get ready for the holidays by making?some room in your kitchen.
Clear out items you haven?t used in years.
I give you permission to donate those ?vintage? cooking supplies that have been passed?down from your grandmother. If you don?t like cooking with it, then you can let it go. If it?barely works, then you can let it go.
Throw away expired items from the pantry and freezer.
Go through your refrigerator, freezer, and pantry. Take inventory of items you have and?throw away anything that has expired or is deemed a ?mystery?. Use your inventory list?to determine what to make for the holiday season. Use what you have!
Get creative with your wall space.
The organizing secret is ?Go Up?. Up the wall. Use available wall space to display?china or glassware. Consider adding a spice rack near the oven or stove. If there is?available space, get creative and use it!
Don?t forget about doors.
Use the back of the door for spice, canned goods, or cleaning storage. We have more?space than we realize. It is just a matter of creatively maximizing!
And most importantly get creative.
Use spaces and materials you may not think of immediately to help de-clutter your kitchen.
There you have it, some tips to make the holidays a little less stressful by getting your kitchen and pantry in order. You will thank me come Turkey Day.
We want to know what?s your biggest area of frustration when it comes to kitchen organizing??
