I currently work at Best Buy and am thinking about applying for a BBFB Account Manager Job in my district. My only question about this job is: Is this a "throw you to the wolves" job? Or will they give you the tools you have to be successful and invest in you, rather than throw you out there and if you don't succeed than you drown?

Alexandria, VA Tornadoes are notoriously difficult to forecast, with often deadly results: In 2011, tornadoes in the U.S. killed more than 550 people, a higher death toll than in the past 10 years combined. Now a new study on short-term climate trends offers a fresh approach to tornado forecasting that may give people in tornado-prone regions more warning that twisters may soon be descending.

By sorting through average atmospheric conditions in tornado-prone regions, Michael Tippet, a climate scientist at Columbia University, may have found a way to predict tornado trends. This new method could potentially help emergency relief agencies as well as communities and individuals better prepare for the volatile storms, but just how close are we to perfecting this revolutionary model? Find out at http://www.earthmagazine.org/article/foretelling-next-months-tornadoes.

Read this story and more in the April issue of EARTH Magazine, available online now at www.earthmagazine.org/. Discover how ice-dwelling bacteria survive; learn about the hidden dangers of volcano geotourism; and join Voyager 1 as it probes the limits of the solar system.

Kevin McGuire is fighting for his life and won?t be able to make it to the 2012 Academy of Country Music Awards. But Taylor still has him in her thoughts!

Taylor Swift was so sweet to offer to take?ailing high school senior Kevin McGuire as her 2012 Academy of Country Music Awards date. Unfortunately, his worsening cancer has left him hospitalized, unable to make it to the April 1 ceremony!

Kevin, 18, was offered the chance to go after Taylor, 22, said she was not able to go with him to his prom. Yet she still wanted to bring some joy to his battle against Leukemia, so she invited him to be her date to the event.

Sadly, his sister revealed his inability to join Taylor on Facebook.

?I am so sorry to announce this devastating news, but Kevin was admitted to the hospital last night, and is unable to attend the Academy of Country Music Awards with Taylor Swift,? she wrote.

Luckily, Taylor is still keeping an eye on her new friend.

?Just talked to Kevin McGuire,? she tweeted on March 31. ?He?s not well enough to join me at the ACMs. Please keep him in your thoughts. I?ll make it up to you, Kevin!?

We wish Kevin the best in his recovery.
